z < 0.41 and the 1.69 < z < 2.09 interval1 which contain only 29% of the "radio" QSO's. As remarked by D. WILLS and R. L. RICKLEFS, it is thus dangerous to mix both samples for common statistical analysis. It is also important t o analyse separately the possible incidence '3f each selectional effect on both types of sample. We shall now discuss them in more details.
