โฆ Synopsis
T h e cooling effect of liquid droplets i n t r o d u c e d into a b o t gas s t r e a m flowing in a n a d i a b a t i c d u c t is analysed. T h e coupled i n t e r a c t i o n b e t w e e n t h e changes in t h e droplets a n d in t h e s u r r o u n d i n g gas conditions is e x a m i n e d as a result of droplets vaporization. I t was found t h a t t h e use of liquid sprays as a rapid cooling process for a h o t gas discharge is quite effective.
