The librationnl modes of ferrocene-/rto and 410 have teen observed near 62 cm-' (-h1o) and 40,52 and 60 cm-' (illo). The polarization measurements at low temperatures can give no useful information concerning the vibrational assignment until the low tcmpcrsturc crystal structure is completely determined.
