✦ Synopsis

TEM-B-lactamase was purified by immobilized metal affinity chromatography from E. coil cell extracts. It was hypothesized that this protein could be purified in one step due to the abundence of metal binding residues. A pH gradient eluted the cell extract proteins. EDTA treatment released TEM-Blactamase. This procedure is much simpler than the current methods employed for TEM-8-1actamase purification.

## Abstract An integrated product recovery system was developed to separate urokinase from the cell culture broth of human kidney cells HT1080. Supermacroporous monolithic cryogels provided ideal matrices with respect to surface and flow properties for use as cell culture scaffold as well as for af
