## Abstract Female, virgin rats studied to determine areas within the limbic system that respond to gonadal steroids. Under ether anesthesia bipolar electrodes were stereotaxically placed in the lateral septum, dorsal hippocampus, medial amygdala and parietal cortex. Following cutaneous injections
