โฆ Synopsis
The process of compressing a gas by a flat piston, assuming that the velocity of the piston is a power function of time, is analyzed.
The initial gas density p is distributed in the space as p= p,m t, where m is the mass Lagrangian variable. The processes of energy release in the medium are modelled by a non-linear source in the energy equation in the form of a power function of temperature and density.
Introduction.
Many publications have been devoted to self-similar solutions of the problem of the motion of a gas in front of a piston (see the References in /i/). The motion of a piston in the case of adiabatic flow is discussed in /2--4/.
It was shown that for a piston velocity of the form u=uot"., ~0>0, a solution of the problem does not exist for no<--'/s
