✦ Synopsis

The amides of dichloroacetaldehyde were synthesized and their physical and chemical constants were determined. None of the compounds showed any appreciable hypnotic or analgetic activity. Two of the compounds, the isovaleramide and 2-ethylbutyramide derivatives showed some anticonvulsant activity.
