โœฆ Synopsis

The use of finely powdered glass as a binder when mixed with a diatomaceous earth supper! is described for the preparation of porous layer open tubular (PLOT) capillary columns. The method, which is based on the technique developed by GRANT for making PLOT columns using lithium chloride as a binder, produces columns with similar performance characteristics, but which show considerably less residual activity in the support material than those prepared using the inorganic salt.

## Abstract A new method to prepare polymeric PLOT columns by using __in situ__ polymerization technology is described. The method involves a straightforward __in situ__ polymerization of the monomer. The polymer produced is directly coated on the metal tubing. This eliminates many of the steps nee
