## Abstract A new series of sulphur dyes was prepared by fusion of aminoquinones and aryl‐azo compounds with sodium polysulphide. These dyes possessed all round good fastness properties and their tendering effects on cellulosic materials were estimated. The complex chemical nature of the prepared d
Anodic polymerization of o-aminoazotoluene azo dye on platinum electrodes in 0.5 M HCl in 50% v/v ethanol/water and in MeCN was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The formed films, in both media, were electroactive in acidic solutions but electroinactive in neutral and alkaline solutions and aprotic MeC
## Abstract Dyes which contain only thiosulfate residues as water‐solubilizing groups are readily polycondensed on cellulose under mild conditions in the presence of condensing agents such as sodium sulfide to give insoluble, high molecular‐weight dyes. This type of fixation leads to wash‐fast dyei
