Dr. Bluhm presently is chairperson of the Master of Counseling Program. His interest areas have been mental retardation, program evaluation, and vocational guidance counsefing and placement.
Education, however, has considered permitting student transfer between technical and general secondary schools. The role of the final examination has also been studied, exploring various options which might be taken to broaden the points of entry and exit in the educational system; thus permitting greater choice.
Egypt seems committed to the goal of advancing scientifically and technologically. Also espoused is the goal to assure the self-fulfillment of its citizens in ways that would foster and preserve their dignity and worth as human beings. The seeds of establishing guidance and counseling services which would facilitate this goal have been planted in the country. They have yet, however, to be fully nurtured by educational and governmental officials before such services can be implemented.
