✦ Synopsis

Analysis of the energy equation within the Percus-Yevick approximz'iion for the adhesive hard sphere potential shows that in contrast to the virial and compressibility equations an extension of the energy equation of state by hlnswell construction in the two phase region is possible for the entire temperaturn range r > 0. The validity or this result for more g-n-era1 potentials is suggested.
