Kelly's writing career began at age 7 when her Grade 2 teacher showed up one day with a box filled with plot ideas printed on cards. It was then she realized all those stories swirling around in her head could be put down on paper.
Following in her father's footsteps, she went to work in the field of property management and commercial real estate, but the lure to write remained strong. It was only a matter of time before she returned to her first love. She joined RWA and her local chapter, Romance Writers of Atlantic Canada, in 2002 and hasn't looked back. She squeezes in her writing time in the wee hours of the morning before traipsing off to the day job, and often sneaks away to local coffee shop for a few hours each weekend.
The road has been an interesting one. After several contest wins, and being a featured writer in the documentary, Who's Afraid of Happy Endings in 2005, her first book, THE OUTLAW BRIDE, was released by Carina Press in April 2011. Since then, she has sold two western romances to Harlequin Historical and released the Regency Romance Series: The Sins & Scandals Series.
