✦ Synopsis

We have measured the infrared spectra of C& films sublimed on gold from 25 to 300 Kin the frequency range 15-5000 cm-'. We observed several new lines emerging below 250 K which we assign to the infrared active modes oft& in the Pa3 phase, based on the temperature dependence of these modes around the orientational phase transition. We compare our results with those obtained by other experimental methods and with theoretical predictions.
