We have grown \(\mathrm{ZnSe} / \mathrm{ZnS}\) superlattices using low pressure MOVPE. The superlattices were grown onto a relaxed \(\mathrm{ZnSe}\) buffer and were constituted of 45 periods. The well and barrier thicknesses were chosen from the calculation of critical thicknesses for coherent and f

## Abstract Arrays of highly ordered Cd~1–__x__~Mn__~x~__Se, Cd~1–__x__~Mn__~x~__S, and Zn~1–__x__~Mn__~x~__S nanoparticles with __x__ ranging from 0.01 to 0.3 and with lateral dimensions of 3, 6, and 9 nm were synthesised within mesoporous SiO~2~ host structures of the MCM‐41 and SBA‐15 type. The
