โœฆ Synopsis

A zincated N,N-dimethylhydrazone of a ketone bearing a BuZn(II) countercation undergoes intermolecular addition to a vinylsilane to afford the hydrazone of a 2-(2-silylethyl)ketone in good yield, providing a new synthetic route to functionalized carbonyl compounds.
