Creep damage problems [ 1], in view of their importance in structures, have received considerable attention. Present research is on aspects of constitutive relations and damage mechanisms of materials have been advanced [2], but a lack of application of damage analysis of structures still exists, perhaps because of a lack of a suitable numerical variation principle.
