## Abstract Structurally related acyclic and cyclic __N__โ€nitrosoโ€__N__โ€alkyl amino acids were prepared and their ^1^H, ^13^C and ^15^N NMR spectra were investigated. The changes in the ^13^C NMR spectra of the __N__โ€nitroso ฮฑโ€amino acids after dissolving in solvents suggest that they posses the __

## Abstract The high temperature ^13^C NMR spectra of the methyl esters of deuteroporphyrinโ€IX and protoporphyrinโ€IX, and octaethylporphyrin show sharp discrete signals for the inner macrocycle carbon resonances. The temperature dependence of these shifts is discussed.
