Making use of the basic theorem of the pole point and residue, the general solutions to a circular-arc crack of the opening, sliding and tearing modes in an infinite plate are found in the present paper. The stress intensity of this problem can be formulated in a united and closed form. Extended application of all results may easily be used for the more complicated problems of an infinite plate with singly and doubly periodic circular-arc cracks? under arbitrary stresses for mode I. II and III.
