✦ Synopsis

In the year 2123 Randal Stewart and his classmates at the Basic Orientation and Safety School of the Federation Space Authority begin preparing for careers in the Federation Service. Follow Randal and his friends, Baljit Singh, Siobahn Caruso, Umra Mailu, Art Simmonds and their classmates work their way through learning what it really takes to become a spacer.

Earth is still in the process of exploring the Solar System. With a population of 20 billion and climbing everyone is employed but some are turning to piracy in the wild west environment of the asteroid belt, Disturbing signs begin to show up as the class progresses through the initial safety course.

When pirates hijack a private yacht on it's way from Mars to Earth the classmates become committed to using their diverse skills to work towards finding a solution to the problem but getting from point A to point B isn't as easy as it sounds and plotting a course is not as easy as it sounds...
