✦ Synopsis

The interaction of widely separated Prasad-Sommerfield-monopoles is investigated. The leading Coulomb terms of the interaction are determined using trial functions to reduce the problem from an intinite to a finite number of degrees of freedom.

The physical content is expressed by Coulomb phase shifts depending on the incoming asymptotic relative velocity. The precision of the approximation of the exact dynamics is discussed.
