โœฆ Synopsis

The molecular rotational Zeeman effect has been observed at high magnetic fields in F';?C"N. The magnetic susceptibility anisorropy is XL -Xi = (7.2 c 0.8) X 10" erg/G' mole, thk molecular g value is -0.0504 i 0.0008, and the molecular quadrupole moment is (-3.7 2 1.0) X 1 tTz6 esu. The results are compared with HCN. FCCH, and HCCH. A new synthesis for FCN is described and an interpretation

## Hi&resolution measurements of ~MJ = 0 inversion transitions in 14NH, in 100 kG magnetic fields were made using a beam-maser spectrometer. The spectra show resolved splittings due to a difference in molecular g-values for upper and lower inversion states with J = 3, A' = 2. The observed differen
