We have analysed the observed Raman non-coincidence shifts (NCE), A=v,,, -vise, for the v(C-0) band of methanol in binary mixtures with the solvents; water, acetonitrile and carbon tetrachloride. For polar solvents the data are consistent with a reduction in the contribution of the repulsive interm
