✦ Synopsis

A general closed expression is given in the frequency domain for the isothermal minimum free energy of an incompressible viscoelastic fluid, whose constitutive equation is expressed by a linear functional of the history of strain. Another equivalent form of the minimum free energy is also derived and used to study the particular case of a discrete model material response.

By treating it as a contact discontinuity in the density field, a free surface between two immiscible fluids can be automatically 'captured' by the enforcement of conservation laws. A surface-capturing method of this kind requires no special tracking or fitting treatment for the free surface, thereb

## Abstract A sampling method is proposed for the efficient acquisition of minimum free‐energy path (MFEP). Here, the MFEP optimization is realized based on the sampling via single on‐the‐path random walk simulation. The present strategy naturally ensures the on‐the‐path structural continuity so th

The free energy of a single-stranded RNA can be calculated by adding the free energies of the components: basepairs, bulges, and loops. Basepairs receive negative free energy while the unpaired bases receive positive free energy. The minimum free energy of a random RNA secondary structure with one d
