## Abstract Let __X__ be a projective algebraic manifold of dimension __n__ (over C), __CH__^1^(X) the Chow group of algebraic cycles of codimension __l__ on __X__, modulo rational equivalence, and __A__^1^(X) ⊂ __CH__^1^(X) the subgroup of cycles algebraically equivalent to zero. We say that __A__
