## Abstract Phase transformations have been investigated occurring in the 0,18 C – 0,5 Mn – 2,4 Cr – 1,4 Ni – 0,4 Mo – 0,003% B steel during continuous cooling at rates corresponding to the cooling down of forgings of ΓΈ 100, 500 and 1000 mm in air. Two methods were used: an X‐ray method and electro
