It is shown that it is possible to grow silver bromide crystals with definite crystallographic orientation by solidification of liquid silver bromide between mica and quartz plates by cooling the mica side. The orientation is (111). The maximum dimensions were 15 mni x 15 min x 1 mni. The surface i
