โฆ Synopsis
Tom Baker has displayed very sloppy research for this book. He takes libelous, sensationalized news articles written by reporters who never interviewed those involved in cases and uses them as the basis of fact in his book. I am constantly amazed that in this day of almost instant communication, reporters and authors cannot go to the source but rely on second-hand, and often poorly researched, information.
I can't finish a book with blatant libelous statements - how many other false statements are made? His use of peer-reviewed journals and studies as resources does not negate his use of biased shock journalism. Of course Mr. Baker is well aware that the victims of libel have even fewer rights than the victims of medical malpractice.
