✦ Synopsis

Jessica Farmer is twenty-nine years old and has been happily married for seven years, to the great joy of her family and friends. Well educated and relatively wealthy, she appears to have everything that any woman could possibly wish for, including the respect and admiration of virtually everyone who knows her. Her husband, David, is of the same age, from an extremely wealthy family and is a director of a major local company, blessed with a beautiful home and wife to look after it. In recent months, David gained the services of a new younger secretary, Megan, who secured the job in the face of considerable competition from colleagues.
When Jessica is inconvenienced while out shopping, she pays a visit to her husband's office in a bid to have him rectify the situation. While there, she meets the new secretary for the first time and finds her to be very attractive, so much so that she offers to take the young woman to lunch. When the offer is accepted, the younger woman finds herself overwhelmed by her more mature and confident companion.
Ignoring any advice to the contrary, Jessica embarks on a sometimes chaotic but ever more intense relationship with the young woman to the dismay of her husband. When the latter suggests the two women go away for a brief holiday together to get the obsession out of their system, they cannot resist. (136.000 words)
