✦ Synopsis

The genus Carcinonemertes comprises several species of nemerteans which live on the gills and egg masses of various marine crabs. I n the course of an extensive study of the inorphology, taxonomy, and bionomics of the members of this genus, certain rnorpholopical features were discovered which from the point of view of comparative anatomy are of coilsiderable significance. It is with these structures that the present brief description is concerned.
