โฆ Synopsis
The initial fluctuations for an unstable immiscible flood are calculated using a Darcy-scale Langevin equation. The resulting amplitude is a product of a Darcy-scale dynamic term with a pore scale dispersion term. Flood velocity can minimize initial ffuctuations depending on the importance of capillary forces and can enhance or decrease recovery again depending on the importance of capillary forces.
