โœฆ Synopsis

The magnetic field dependence of the water proton T, is calculated for aqueous solutions of nitroxides based on a detailed analysis of early T, measurements on nitroxide solutions made as a function of magnetic field. The results parallel those for TI closely and, unlike metal systems, the implications for magnetic imaging are similar.

The effect of solute paramagnetic ions on the longitudinal magnetic relaxation rate 1/T1 of solvent water protons depends on magnetic field strength and on the chemical environment of the ions. The variation of 1/T1 with field has been measured for solutions of Gd3+ and Mn2+ ions in three grossly di

The design of magnetic particles as a magnetic resonance contrast agent will rely on the prediction of their ability to induce transverse relaxation among the surrounding protons. There exists several divergent predictions of the contribution of these agents to 1/T2. This article points out a proble
