New compounds of the compositions Ba 3 Ln(BO 3 ) 3 , Ln ‫؍‬ La+Lu, Y were obtained in the ternary systems BaO+Ln 2 O 3 + B 2 O 3 . Single crystals were grown for Ba 3 Yb(BO 3 ) 3 . X-ray diffraction analysis showed a hexagonal structure with space group P6 3 cm and lattice parameters a ‫؍‬ 9.411(1),
