โœฆ Synopsis

The heat capacities between 1.5 and 25 K have been measured for grassy and devitritied samptes of two substances: one is a commercial material ("Cer-Vit") and the other is diopside (CaMgSiaOe). All samples, whether glassy or crystalline, have an "excess" heat capacity at the lowest temperatures roughly proportional to T and of similar magnitude to that found in a wide variety of inorganic glasses.

The heat capacities of the fluorinated fullerenes C 60 F 48 , C 60 F 46 , and C 60 F 36 have been measured in an adiabatic vacuum calorimeter over the temperature range from 8 K to 356 K. The heat capacities of crystalline and liquid 1-bromoperfluorooctane, Br(CF2)7CF3, were measured by a full-automatic adiabatic calorimeter in the temperature range from 5 K to 346 K. The calorimeter, experimental procedure and results of testing the apparatus by standard substances (copper and hepta
