✦ Synopsis
The performance of the long lasting sessile drop mercury electrode (lfsdme) as a working electrode for various electrochemical techniques was studied . Dimethylpyrmlydinium [E" 2 a -2.7 V (see)] and 2,4,6-trimethylpyridine [E, 12 al -2.85 V (see)] were used as substrates in DMF as the solvent and tetrabutylammonium fluoroborate as the electrolyte . Measurements obtained with various working electrodes were compared and the Ilsdme was found to be more reliable than the dropping mercury or hanging drop electrodes.
