The DLVO theory of colloidal particle interaction has been applied to electrokinetic data from isolated chromaffm granules to obtain an estimate of the London-Van der Waals attraction constant. Interaction energy curves were derived for chromattln granules and their significance discussed in relation to exocytosis.
