✦ Synopsis

The local internal stress theory concerning the damping mechanisms of ferromagnetic alloys is thoroughly analyzed and the local internal stress is characterized by the amplitude, discontinuity and distribution. The influences of various crystal defects on the irreversible movements of magnetic domain walls are summarized and the solute atom model for local internal stress source is proposed. With this new model, by the experimental results of which the damping capacity (internal friction) of ferromagnetic alloys increasing with rising annealing temperature can be explained quite well.
