✦ Synopsis
In studying fresh-water algae and flagellates for the past 50 years, many new genera and species have been described and published in different magazines and in some of these descriptions, type species have not been indicated yet . Presently according to the International Code of Nomenclature such new genera are not sufficiently named . In the present algological note the author gives the list of 18 new genera and type species published in 1925-1957 . All type species are figured and the size of the cells are given . During the past 40 years the author has made corrections and the last are also indicated . For instance a . genus Baranovia gen . nov., Astasiaceae with type species Baranovia stagnalis gen. e t sp . nov . published in 1957 in Phil.
