✦ Synopsis

The coexistence curves of liquid (N,N-dimethylacetamide+pentane) have been determined within 10 K from the critical temperature by measurements of refractive index n. The critical amplitudes B and the critical exponents b have been deduced from (T,n) (T,x), and (T,f) curves and the last is consistent with theoretical prediction. The results have also been analyzed to determine Wegner-correction terms when b and D are fixed at the theoretical values and to examine the behaviour of the diameters of the coexistence curves.
