To illustrate the proposed method, Figure 1 shows calculated and experimental liquid thermal conductivity data for the system methanol water at 0" and 60°C. Figure 2 exemplifies a limitation of Equation ( 1) in that it fails to predict the minimum thermal conductivities for the azeotropic liquid mixture, CC&/tert-butanol.
