β¦ Synopsis
The lifetimes of the J~ = ~+ mirror states at Ex = 350.5+1.0 keV and 332-Β’-I keV in 2~Ne and 21Na, respectively, have been measured with the recoil-distance method. The two nuclei were produced by *Β°Ne bombardment of a 2H gas target. The results are z = 224-3 ps and 14Β±3 ps for the states in ZlNe and 2tNa, respectively. The measured lifetimes compare well with those calculated in the strong-coupling model taking into account band mixing. [ E[ NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(ZΒ°Ne, p), (2Β°Ne, n), E = 13.95 MeV; measured ~7(Ey), I Doppler shift. ~Ne, 2~Na levels deduced T t. Enriched target, Ge(Li) detector.
