โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

The surficial deposits and landforms of the middle Dyfi Valley, Wales, are examined and a sequence of glacial, glacioโ€fluvial and glacioโ€lacustrine sediments is identified. This is considered to relate to a late stage in the wastage of the Lateโ€Devensian Merioneth iceโ€cap. A sequence of terrace gravels overlying the giacigenic succession represents dissection during early Flandrian times.
