## Abstract Thermolysis of diβ(4βchlorobenzoyl)βperoxide was carried out in the probe of an NMR. spectrometer. The dependence of product distribution and chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (CIDNP.) patterns on the concentrations of radical trapping agents gives evidence that the CIDNP.
All aspects of CIDNP, both theoretical and experimental, as well as electron polarization, nuclear relaxation, new experimental techniques and chemical applications, are to be covered. The Plenary lecturers will include Professor F. J. Adrian, Professor G. L. Closs, Professor H. Fischer, Doctor R. K
## Abstract The photolysis of symmetric and asymmetric organomercury compounds has been studied by CIDNP. No indications of the existence of RHgΒ· radicals have been found. Depending on the solvent, reactions occur from excited states with different spin multiplicities.
## Abstract Vinylalcohol, formed by disproportionation of Ξ±βhydroxyethyl radicals, is detected by NMR. spectroscopy during photoreactions of acetaldehyde and acetoin in solution and slowly tautomerizes to acetaldehyde.
