London, 1837. A group of businessmen come to the realisation that after concluding their private weekly meetings their opposition is being killed off by a strange assassin who stalks the night. None of the men in the room admit to paying the man to commit the murders, however.
The opinion of the group is divided - whilst some believe that the stranger is killing in their favour and should be left to his own devices, others realise that there must be some sort of motive at hand and, if it isn't money, then what? Who is he working for?
