In this action-packed revenge thriller, Darren McCann β the Butcher of Belfast β is back with the mission to avenge the brutal murder of his mother. Trained by the I.R.A., turned by MI6 β the operation takes him to America to track down the hard men funding the Republicans back home in Ireland.
A weekend that would exhaust Jason Bourne sees him make new friends and plenty of enemies in the notorious Hellβs Kitchen. Later taskings in Ireland and Scotland allow him to excel at what he does best β killing. During a trip to Spain to take on a cell of suicide bombers he falls in love, but all is not what it seems.
This second instalment of the best-selling The Killer Trilogy sees Darren develop as a character. He begins to question the motives of those in power, but all the time faces his enemies with his usual wit and trusty knife The Matador.

Extract. Review by Joshua Keidan
If this book was not a complete work of fiction, The Killer by Jack Elgos , would be an excellent biography.

Format:Kindle Edition
Excellent second installment of what we know learn will be a trilogy. The Butcher is back and his violent wrecking spree moves to America, where he needs all his skills and all his wits about him as he tracks down the Republican paymasters. Never a dull moment and so fast-paced it hurts! a 5 star book if ever I read one. Bring on number 3.

Another really great book by Elgos, in fact I found it really hard to put down! Anyone who enjoyed the first part of this trilogy will not be disappointed by this follow up. It is not for nothing this book already has so many 5 star reviews. Buy it and read it. Buy and read the first one too. And when they finally fall from your fingers, hopefully it will only be a short wait for the final of the series.

Cracking read. When is book 3 released? Low on descriptive prose high on action, odd to be rooting for a killer.
