## Abstract The release of glutamic acid from the obligate marine psychrophilic bacterium __Vibrio marinus__ MP‐1 under various physical conditions has shown that at least two glutamate pools are potentially present. One, designated amino acid pool one, is loosely bound to the cell and is not found
