The adsorption of water and small model perfluorinated lubricants on hydrogenated amorphous carbon (a:C-H) films of varying hydrogen content was investigated using thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS). Hydrogen content of the carbon films was measured by Rutherford back scattering (RBS) and elastic
