โœฆ Synopsis


The interaction of a straight screw dislocation and the free surface of an infinitely long piezoelectric cylinder with the poling direction as the generator of this cylinder is analyzed. The dislocation line is oriented in the poling direction. By using the conformal mapping method, the expressions for the electric and elastic fields are given in terms of an appropriate conformal mapping and the image force exerted on the screw dislocation is determined. Some illustrative examples are given.
