โœฆ Synopsis


The integral hydro-bulge forming (IHBF) of double-layer gap spherical vessels is advanced in this paper. The feasibility of the technology is investigated, and the structure design, the material choice, the loading system and the experimental test method are studied. A spherical vessel with the inner shell of stainless steel and the outer shell of mild steel is analyzed in terms of the uniformity of the strain, the thickness distribution, the diameter variation and the gap distribution. Further, the prospects of application of the technology are pointed out.
