It began at the Discovery. Years ago the "Specials" were discovered, regular people with unique gifts. The Institute was formed, a governmental controlled school that helped these young Specials learn to control their powers. Ells Carter has been there for the past nine years, ever since her parents died in a fire caused by the Rogues, Specials with powers like hers that didn't abide by the rules of the government.

Now everything is changing. Someone is leaking secrets, endangering the lives of everyone at the Institute. Everyone is suspect, and no one is innocent.
