β¦ Synopsis
The complex electric permittivity spectrum in the mid-infrared region is obtained for liquid CD3CN. The molar vibrational polarizations for the principal absorption regions of this molecule are determined and discussed.

A model of vibrational dephasing with motional narrowing by the libratiomd motions of the molecules in their cages is tested on the esampfc of the ~6 degenerate infrared fundamental of liquid CD31 at room temperature.
The spectrum of the complex electric permittiviry was obtained in the v&OH) region for several weakly H-bonded systems. The molar atomic polarizations and atomic polarizabilities related to this vibration were determined and are discussed.
